A teenager named Rajabbi Khurshed (18), killed 40 days after marrying a man named Zafar Pirov, 40, in the village of Charbogh in Tajikistan.
Pirov asked for his second 22-year-old young woman an additional test of virginity after the official government.

Then he did not believe in the results and asked for another woman.

The 18-year-old family told Radio Free Europe that their daughter was under the tremendous pressure of her husband, who she could no longer bear.

Her mother, Fazila Mirzoeva, described her daughter as “a victim of gossip and violence”.

Pirov is charged with inciting his wife to suicide, and could have received up to 8 years in prison.

In his defense, he states that the alleged woman had given him a written consent to marry another wife, “because she was not a virgin when we were married”.

In other words, in Tajikistan, pre-trial tests of innocence are common.

Since 2015, medical tests before spouses have been mandatory in this country, with only women testing whether they have already had a suicidal relationship.
